Trish Bogan

Trish Bogan joined Halakar as Controller in 2017 and assists in streamlining our accounting processes.  Before joining Halakar, Ms. Bogan spent over 27 years in the accounting department of one of the city’s largest multi-family housing management companies, fulfilling several roles including Corporate Controller and Trust Accounting Manager.

Ms. Bogan earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Indiana University in 1989.

Lisa Cotton

Lisa Cotton joined Halakar as Brokerage & Marketing Specialist in June of 2019.  She manages our marketing design and implementation including brokerage listing email blasts, social media, public relations, direct mail, branding, listing coordination and editing, signage, and provides brokerage administrative support.  Lisa researches data and mapping/plotting for our brokerage team to coordinate proposals, contracts, agreements, and memorandums while simultaneously keeping all of our listing details current.

Lisa has a wealth of experience in the Indianapolis real estate field, both commercial and residential, and knows our area well.  Her experience is backed by a hands-on “out of the box” mentality, utilizing multiple platforms for research and design.  Combining her resourceful, can-do attitude with her knowledge of the business makes her a valuable addition to our team.

Prior to joining Halakar, Lisa held various marketing and administrative positions at Lee & Associates, Marcus & Millichap, The MDC Group, and Buckingham Companies.

Lisa received her bachelor’s degree of fine arts in Photography with Visual Communications from Indiana University and an associate degree in General Fine Arts from Vincennes University.  She has been a licensed Indiana Real Estate Broker since 2003, and is certified in Google Analytics.  In addition, she is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Candidate and has taken multiple courses at Ivy Tech in web design, graphic design and computer science.

Liz DeKoninck

Elizabeth (Liz) DeKoninck is an Associate in Brokerage and has been with Halakar since 2015. Liz has more than 3 years of commercial real estate experience with a background in property management.

Liz represents landlords and tenants in industrial, retail, and office transactions. From leasing industrial and office spaces to selling retail buildings, Liz has had experience in both the leasing and sales side of the business. Liz’s prior experience in property management allows her to provide her clients with invaluable information during the leasing and sales process.

Tammy Gonzalez

Tammy Gonzalez joined Halakar in December of 2018 as a Property Administrator.  She assists the property management team by managing tenant requests, certificates of insurance, maintenance coordination, and other intricate roles.

Tammy brings with her ten years of property management experience and prides herself in her strength of leadership through service.  She goes above and beyond to help anyone with any need, and has excellent communication and organizational skills.  Tammy has a reputation for having high standards in her work and is an integral part of the property management team.

Gina Hughes

Gina Hughes (previously Rhoads) joined Halakar as Executive Assistant and Office Manager in February of 2015.  She also assumed the responsibilities of Brokerage Support from November 2017 to July 2019.   Currently, she manages the office’s operational needs including Human Resources, recruiting, new initiatives, company events, I.T. and supplies, as well as being the EA to the CEO.  On the brokerage side, she is the backup person to coordinate and maintain property listings, signage, and support the brokerage team administratively.

Prior to joining the company, Ms. Hughes worked in the Global Learning and Development Department in HR at ExactTarget, a well-known Indianapolis-based digital marketing company. Earlier, she held HR positions in Recruiting and in Global Learning and Development at Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM).

Ms. Hughes’s 20+ years of experience includes process development and improvement, adult learning, onboarding, database creation and administration, surveying/metrics, recruiting, event coordination, negotiation, talent management systems, e-learning module creation and implementation, learning management systems, behavioral assessment administration, and HR special projects.

An example of her proven expertise is successfully onboarding over 2,000 global new hires and coordinating two employee orientation events per month during a 2 year and 7 month time period at ExactTarget. This also included travel, communications, IT equipment, and desk needs for every new hire. Simultaneously, she coordinated all other company learning and development events as well as supporting her team administratively.

Katie Imburgia

Katie joined Halakar in September of 2018 and is an integral member of our property management team.  She manages a diverse portfolio of office, industrial, and retail properties.  Katie dedicates her time to fostering relationships with clients, negotiating vendor contracts, analyzing costs and budgets, personalizing property reports, and overseeing the maintenance of properties.

Katie’s ability to build strong working relationships with her peers, vendors, and clients strengthens our commitment to high quality service.  Katie has 7 years of experience in the property management field including administration, bidding projects, handling maintenance issues, managing service contracts, budgeting, various accounting functions, and overseeing the day to day operations of commercial properties.

Jim Karozos

Jim Karozos joined Halakar in 2015 and currently serves as Senior Vice President of Brokerage. Mr. Karozos focuses on industrial and retail transactions, landlord listings and real estate property sales. Now in his tenth year in the commercial real estate industry, Mr. Karozos has provided a significant boost to the success of the firm’s Indiana Industrial Specialty Division.

Mr. Karozos continues to excel in complex transactions because he understands his clients’ needs and expectations, properly aligns their goals and objectives and establishes effective relationships throughout an organization, including C-Suite executives. Throughout his career, his honesty, integrity, process improvement and solid market/brand knowledge when dealing with local, regional and large national corporations have proven highly beneficial to clients.

Prior to joining Halakar, Mr. Karozos held positions with Colliers International, RESOURCE Commercial, Grubb & Ellis and Lee & Associates. He began his career in real estate after a successful 23-year career in the food and beverage industry.

Kimberly Kennedy

Kimberly joined Halakar in April of 2019 as an Accounts Payable Specialist.  Kimberly works closely with our controller and the property management team to provide accounting support.  She is responsible for all accounts payable functions, tracking utilities, backup for accounts receivable, and other special accounting projects.  Kimberly is excited to join our team and help streamline our accounting processes.

Kimberly is very conscious about the accuracy of her work and prides herself on her willingness to jump in and help wherever and whenever needed.  Honesty, organization, and attention to detail are core elements of her work ethic.  Over the past eleven years, Kimberly held accounts payable and accounting assistant positions with two separate companies.  She was responsible for a high volume of invoices on a daily basis and has assisted with both accounts payable and receivable duties.  Kimberly also has several years of diversified administrative experience.  She is a welcome addition to our Halakar team.

Andrea Lipps

Andrea Lipps began her career with Halakar in January 2013. She currently assists on the property management team with a commercial portfolio that includes office, retail and industrial facilities totaling more than 1 million square feet. Her responsibilities include tenant relations, vendor communications, and administrative support to the property management team. Mrs. Lipps’s outstanding communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are among her strongest assets, all greatly contributing to the exceptional rapport of the company.

Melissa Lotspeich

Melissa joined Halakar in October of 2018 as a Property Accountant. She handles accounts receivable for tenant properties, maintains lease information, processes payments, handles inquiries, assists with monthly financial reports, and acts as backup to our controller.

Melissa has a talent for identifying improvement opportunities in processes and creating more efficient ways of doing things. She enjoys looking at processes from start to finish and implementing changes to work smarter, not harder. She has been in the accounting field for 8 years in non-profit, medical, historic, and commercial real estate environments.

Melissa earned a bachelor of science in accounting from Indiana Tech and an associates degree from Ivy Tech, where she graduated Phi Theta Kappa.
